Here's a great kid's craft idea to help them celebrate Earth Day, which is April 22.
Approximate Time Less than 30 minutes
Supplies:
flat wooden heart (or any wooden shape) with a small hole drilled in the top

peanut butter
plastic knife
bird seed
ribbon
bowl
Instructions:
Using a plastic knife, cover the wooden heart (or other shape) completely with peanut butter. Fill a small bowl with bird seed, and place the wooden shape in the bowl. Cover the entire area of the heart with the bird seed making sure no bare spots are left anywhere on the shape. Cut a length of ribbon about 12-16 inches long and run one length of ribbon through the hole. Tie the ends of the ribbon together in a bow or knot. Hang bird biscuit in a tree or somewhere birds have easy access to it.
