I decided to do a little tree trimming in my yard and once I got finished I had a whole lot of limbs in several areas of my yard. It was going to take several trips to get them all moved to my dump pile. In the past I would have dragged a handful of limbs (all that I could get in one hand) to my dump site.
Then I had an idea!! I'm sure someone else has thought of this before, but I was amazed at how easy and quickly I could clean up these limbs using a simple 20ft rope.
I took one limb at a time and ran the rope through the "Y" in the branch, stacking the limbs on top of each other.
I threaded the rope through all my limbs, placing the small stuff in between the big pieces so they were sandwiched in. Once I had all the limbs roped in, all I had to do was pull it to my dump site and pull the rope out!
I was so impressed with myself at how easy and quick this was I just had to share it!

I like that idea. I'll be trying it when I start pruning the bushes and trees. I think it will work much better for me than my method. Great tip!!
An easier way is to lay them on a tarp.and drag them
Once I discovered how easy it is to drag yard debris or ? on a tarp my life got much much easier. I also got a foam board sled and used that for smaller, heavier items - like potted plants.
Did you pull this with your riding lawn mower?
No, I pulled it by hand but that is a good idea. I will do that next time and can probably pull more at the time.
