Do I have to worry about bones in canned mackarel? Would there be any bones left to harm me?

No, the bones in canned mackerel have been pressure cooked during processing. They are soft and fall apart.

I had canned mackerel and the bones were hard and sharp not soft. I had to pick them out

My grandmother cooked us a Korean Mackerel dish often. She used canned Mackerel. I've been eating the bones my whole life lol.

They're actually one of my favorite parts in that dish because I enjoy the soft crunch. Lol. One of my favorite Korean dishes!
