Edges of Marble Tiles Are Turning Purple?

Edges of Marble Tiles are Turning Purple - purple color along tile edgesI have some marble tiles that after 1 week, the edges are looking purple. I think this from a chemical reaction. How how can I remove the streaks?

If you washed the tiles and they soaked in the water, they could have gotten stained. If you didn't I would contact the place you got it since you only have it a week.

Did you self install the marble tiles? Or had a professional? I would recommend contacting the installers and asking.

I could not find any research about tiles turning purple but if tiles are getting darker it could be water penetrating, there could be a possible leak or "missing grout, or poorly applied silicone joints".

I feel like that is a problem from water gathering, I'm afraid.

Mix diluted Hydrogen Peroxide to baking soda to form a thick paste (with the consistency of Nutella). The mixture will foam a little. If the mixture dries up completely, add some water to it.Wet the stained area with water and spread a layer of poultice 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick over it. Use a knife or spatula to spread the poultice evenly.

Put a plastic over the poultice and tape the edges to seal it.Let the poultice stay on for 24 to 48 hours so that it dries thoroughly. The drying process is what pulls the stain out of the stone and into the poultice material.Take off the plastic and remove the poultice from the stain. Wipe with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.Re apply if stain is not gone.
