Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,246 Posts These little candy holding chicks are made from egg cartons and paper. They're super adorable and easy to put together. A great craft for all ages!
Total Time: 1 hour
Supplies:
- egg carton
- scissors
- yellow paint
- paint brush
- yellow paper
- orange paper
- glue
- black marker
Steps:
- Cut the little bowl sections out of the egg carton's base.
- Paint them yellow and allow them to dry.
- Cut out strips of yellow paper about 1/2" x 1 1/2" in size.
- Stack 1 carton piece over another and glue the strip on the back as a hinge. Let dry.
- To make the wings, cut some yellow paper pieces measuring 1" x 1/2". Fold a 1/4" flap from the edge. From the fold, cut into triangles.
- Glue a yellow triangle on each side of the inner bottom carton cup.
- To make the beaks, cut some orange paper pieces measuring 3/4" x 1/2". Fold a 1/4" flap from the edge. From the fold, cut into triangles.
- Glue one orange triangle on the front of the inner top of the carton cup and another on the inner bottom.
- Cut out little feet from the orange paper.
- Glue to the bottoms of the carton cups.
- Draw little eyes over the beaks.
- Fill with tiny toys or candies.
