All you need to make this button is a shampoo bottle cap or just a piece of hard plastic, string, and a piece of wire. I used wire from a damaged transformer. As you can see, it will cost you almost nothing, but you will get this very original button.
The use of thread to make this button is a bit like like how Death's Head buttons are made. I found out about the Death's Head buttons when I had already made my eight-pointed star button. The Death's Head buttons were used in the 18-19th century. A wooden, or bone, or horn round mold was wrapped with colorful thread in a cross or X design. The buttons received this name most likely because of cross design. This design was associated with the crossed bones under the skull. My button is wrapped in design with more intersections.
