I live in apartment complex. The electric went off during the night. Went down to main box in communal, keypad showing what I have left in box so that's fine. Nothing tripped and nothing will go back on when I reset trip box in apartment? Nothing's loose and no obvious signs of burn out of a fuse. I phoned the NIE electric and they said they will send out engineer but still waiting. Any sparks on here know what it could be?

I do not know if you have any knowledge (other than general and common knowledge) about electricity but when you've checked the obvious things then it may be best to wait for a licensed person.
The maintenance department for your complex would seem to be the obvious person to check this out so maybe sit tight and hopefully you'll have your electricity back on very soon.
I doubt there is a qualified member able to answer your question on this site but then; maybe there is?
Since you are renting, it is not your responsibility to fix it. If you dont know enough about electricity, you can make things much worse.
It could be another unit , with a problem. Also because you are a tenant in apartment complex , that would be up to the management to resolve. This is not something you want to touch, or maybe getting charged for it, when someone finds that you are checking/touching the box/switches.
