My 13 yr old and I (43) receive survivors benefits. I am getting married next year. I know I will lose my benefits, but will my daughter too? If not, at what age will she?

I believe she can receive her benefits until she is 18 and as long as she is in school. You really should go and see SSN about all of this. They will be the best to answer all of your questions.
She can receive benefits until she is 19 or graduates high school, which even comes first. If she is 19, she must still be attending high school.
There have been some changes in Social Security so it is always best to go to the agency for answers to any question. You may also need to know when you have to notify SS of your marriage (actual date) so be sure you ask that question also.
Unmarried children, younger than age 18 (or up to age 19 if theyre attending elementary or secondary school full time), can also get benefits.
Children can get benefits at any age if they were disabled
before age 22 and remain disabled.
Your child will continue to get them until she's out of high school. You should really call SS at 1-800-772-1213 to ask about the details.
