Is there a way to eliminate static cling when cutting plastic bags for plarn? The excess plastic I cut off the bags flies everywhere except in the garbage can.

I usually have that bottom piece and the handles left after cutting to prepare, I just take a sec to roll then together and tie a quick knot. Gives them weight and heft so they fly better, ha ha ha, and don't stick to all things known to man. I then, keep the little bundles in a bag to use for fill, stuffing, toy fixing that needs some refill, etc!
Never tried this ... but what about a spray bottle of water? Add a little downy?

Try putting the scraps in a bag with a couple of fabric softener sheets.
