I enter many contests and sometimes I win, like today. You probably will not get rich, but you will get little treats that stretch your budget and feel pampered.

This year alone, I've gotten $90 in credit for Amazon.com from answering questions here on Thrifty Fun. I like helping people by providing info for their questions, and Thrifty Fun pays you to do it!!! Can't go wrong here, if you have the time.
I also recently won a 50 spool set of Coats & Clark thread on a sewing site's contest, and a sharpening system for drill bits, knife blades and hand plane blades from a woodworking site. As they say, "You can't win it if you aren't in it". Contests really do pay off, so take the time to enter...you never know.
Congrats on your win!!
I agree with gggd!! The contents here on TF are the best!!
I would love to know about other contests that are legitimate--especially ones that pay for answering questions and writing.
Is there a list you can share or is it one of those things that we hold close to our vests (like when I used to source at Goodwill for my eBay sales before it was cool which was at least a decade before Facebook let that sweet cat out of the bag)!
Thanks for sharing!! Blessings!!
I belong to many Facebook money-saving groups. I dont recall which one informed me of the contest. It might have been How to Shop for Free or Living Rich with Coupons. Once you start entering, you get a lot of notifications, which lead to contests and free samples.
Thanks!! Good to know. Going to check those out tomorrow morning! Blessings!
I was doing one site called PINCHme, but it got to the point where it took 6 months to get samples, the contests all wanted more info than I was willing to give out, or the items/gifts had 0 appeal to me. That was sad because at first I got some neat stuff I could really use--like flavored mayo samples, pesto sauce, and candy.
Take care!!
My wins on the sewing and woodworking sites were an "extra treat" for me, as I visit those sites almost daily anyway. When they started a contest, I knew about it right away and entered. Those two I'm speaking of were a month-long contest that you could enter every day. It paid off in the end, and the two prizes were worth: sewing contest - $120.00 and the woodworking contest - $185.00. Not bad for a daily entry for a month !!
I entered a grocery store contest and won a cutting board valued at $55. It has 4 slide out oblong containers with lids to store what you chop, the cutting board has a hole where you push the chopped veggies into those containers.
That is a wonderful prize!
