You can make your own fabric softener out of your favorite conditioner for your hair. Put all this together in a container you can easily stir, but do not shake.
Stir, stir, stir, stir, stir. Then pour into a container. Use 1/4 cup per load of wash. It works great and smells great too!

What is the point? Why not just buy fabric softener?
The vinegar alone is a fabric softener. I never buy fabric softener. I put the vinegar in the softener dispenser of my washing machine. No vinegar smell to the clothes.
That is a good idea just to use the vinegar!
The reason a lot of people make their own fabric softener or use vinegar is that the ingredients are natural, as in vinegar and healthy, while some fabric softeners contain ingredients that are toxic. You would not believe the garbage that can be in storebought dryer sheets and fabric softeners.
