Gold Post Medal for All Time! 555 Posts I had a painting I wanted to enter in a local contest, but no frame that actually fit it correctly. After checking multiple stores for the right size mat and finding that I would need to have one custom ($$Cha-Ching) made for that size, I decided to improvise. Check it out!
Total Time: 5 minutes!
Supplies:
- picture that needs a frame
- an inexpensive but pretty frame you already have or from a garage sale/thrift store (if it's larger than the picture, this idea works!)
- 3 rolls of fabric tape, found at your local craft store (found in the scrapbooking aisle) ($3.00)
Steps:
- Simply cut the tape to frame your picture (or photo). Overlap at corners for a clean look.
- This tape is great because it is lightweight stickiness and can be re-positioned if you need to remove it, plus it is no acid so it won't damage a painting either!
- Line it up with the edge of your picture and place it down. Add a frame and your set to hang it!
