Have you tried shoe polish? I'd use the solid kind.

Hi, buy the solid shoe paste in the color you need. I do this with my leather jacket as well. Clean the leather well, dry. Do not use conditioner on leather.
Rub in small circle pattern. Let dry, then using an old washcloth, dishtowel, buff the couch/coat, etc. Let hang to dry (if clothing) air dry couch/chair well, rub white cloth over to make sure nothing comes off on cloth. If it does, buff more.
