Hi, I tried to spot clean a stain on my silk kimono but think I might have rubbed a little too vigorously. The area I tried to clean is now slightly lighter than the rest of the kimono. Is there any way that I can repair/fix this or at least make the faded area less noticeable? Thanks!

Try these:
1. Fill a container with cold water and add half a cup of vinegar. Soak your silk kimono in the vinegar solution. Then rinse in cold water. It also helps in taking away a faded look.
2. Add salt to your regular wash.
Thank you so much for your advice. Fingers crossed itll do the trick!!
Silk is usually not washable. Get a fabric pen in the same color and touch up the affected area.
Because of the delicate nature of silk, it can easily become damaged, do not rub or wring your silk kimono.
If all else fails, then you can dye faded spot. Silk can be dyed at home.
You may have to use whatever you used the first time and try fading/feathering it out from the center of the spot. It may make a larger spot, but if you work at it slowly/carefully you can make it less noticeable.
