Father's Day Bow Tie Card - finished card Father's Day is around the corner. My dad absolutely loves plaid button ups so, I thought this would be a cute and simple card to make for him! I like cards that have dimension so I used felt for the bow tie, but you can use paper too.

Total Time: 15 minutes

Yield: 1 card

Supplies:

scrapbook paper
scissors
paper trimmer - optional
hot glue
double sided tape - optional
buttons
felt - optional

Steps:

I used a 12 x 12 plaid scrapbook paper and folded in half for a traditional upright card.

Father's Day Bow Tie Card - fold paper in half

To create the felt bow, I cut a 4.5" x 4.5" square.

Fold the felt accordion style.

To secure the bow, cut 1" strip for the center of the bow. Secure with hot glue.

Figure out where you want to position the bow and buttons, then secure down with hot glue.

Determine length of card you want to cut off. I cut off 4.5" inches. My overall card is 7.5" height by 6" across. Ready to open card and fill with your message. :)
