I have a "leather like" sofa that has spots where it is peeling away. What can I do to fix it or just prevent it from getting worse?

Real leather is much easier to fix.
Peel it all off! I did. Now it looks like a new suede sofa!
How did you do it? By hand? Chemically? This chair is so comfortable my Honey loves it, but I can't afford no expensive repair kit. Thanks.

Any tips on How to peel it all off? Did you use a product? I am in the process of it and so far I am scraping it away with a spatula. It seems like it will take a long time.
faux is peeling,and is getting worse.what course can i take besides getting rid of a eye sore.
There should not be any humidity in the air so try a dehumidifier specially if you are cooking/or hot summer days. Try buying sofa cover as well because our body gives off heat and moisture.
