My husband and I rescued a Chihuahua. We took her to the vet; she's fine other than gum disease. She sees the doggy dentist on the 23rd. Anyway she won't eat and when she does its only a burger. Help me plz.

A dog will not starve herself. She probably needs to get used to her new environment. Maybe she likes her food moister. Put a little water in it to make it easier to chew.
Don't give her the burger. You might have to switch dog foods but eventually she will learn that she has to eat it.
