From wikihow.com: Provide food. Feed the ladybug with small amounts of honey or sugar. Use a small bottle cap or similar to contain the food. You can also feed your ladybug raisins or lettuce.

A ladybug only needs to be fed once a day depending on the size of the piece of fruit you give them. You should probably give them a piece of fruit 2 millimeters long and 2 millimeters wide.

Just leave some fresh none acidic fruits in his/her cage, for example leave some bananas or strawberrys in its cage along with some hunny and or shuger water in a little water bottle cap, along with a wet paper towel on the side. Make sure there are leaves and some kind of reflective BRIGHT colored tape on the outside of the ladybugs cage, the BRIGHT colors make the lady bug I guess you could say less "Depressed"

I keep food and water in with them at all times. I am currently looking after 2 ladybirds over the winter ( I plan to release them in March/April when its warmer for them). They seem to like peeled grapes, figs, saltanas, lightly pre-soaked raisens,( I split them all in half to make it easier for them to eat) They also like lettuce, chicken breast meat ( which I keep frozen and just defrost a small chunk when needed). They will also need to have a water source, for this I use plastic milk bottle lids which I half fill with water and then push pieces of kitchen roll on top ( the idea is that it is moist but with no excess of water that they could possibly drown in. I also do exactly the same using a 50/50 mix of sugar and water. I always leave them a selection of foods and not just one type.

Just make sure to regularly check and refresh everything.

There is also a ladybird food that you can buy it is called ' Ladybird Attractant ' I think you can buy it on Amazon? If not you could try garden centre type places. I give them some of this along with all the above food and drinks.

P.S Large round plastic containers with a lid are great for homing them in ( the type that bird food is often sold in) mine is about 6-8 Litre size. Just make sure to have plenty of holes in it for ventilation.
I line the bottom of mine with kitchen roll and then put in lots of leafy hedge branches, a few leaves and some grass from the garden. If you have any moist moss, you can put some of that in too.
Best wishes
H
