I am 47 yrs. old and I live in the house I was born and raised in. It's built on a crawl space. It's almost 1200 sq. ft. carport and all. My floors (sub-floors) need to be replaced and my walls in the bathroom need to be redone. I have some mold in my bathroom and my kitchen sink is leaking so badly that I have to keep a bowl under it and keep it emptied. I don't have a dishwasher. I'm the dishwasher. I have done some of the walls and I can't do it any more because my body can't take it.
I'm on disability and I have a lot of problems. I live off of $706 a month and that barely gets my bills paid. I don't know where to go to get help. I just pray that you can lead me in the right direction to find help.
My laundry room is outside and I wish I felt better and I would knock out this coat closet in my dining room and open it up to the laundry room and lock the door to the laundry room so that I could just stay warm and also make an area to hang my clothes when I take them out of the dryer.
Back to the kichen the leaking under the sink has gotton so bad that it's ruined my cabinets. Someone really needs to look at my house it's to hard for me to explain. But I would be extremely grateful. I can't afford it. It makes me depressed and as a woman I want to make my house to look nice. My mother died last year and both of my children moved out not at the same time but within a few months of one another.

Having somebody look at your house isn't going to help you find the help you need. The time to make affordable repairs is do them one at a time as they occur. There is a an organization that helps seniors and people on disability with home repairs. I don't know what it is called where you live. It is nationwide and government funded, even in each state, it is called different things in different towns. You do have to meet income guidelines, and there is a waiting list. I'm not sure, but I think the basic name of the organization is Opportunities for Independent Living(OIL).
