Finding Birthday Gift Help for Low Income Families?

I'm a mother of soon to be 3 year old twin girls. Their birthday is January 8, but we are not celebrating until Saturday. I'm not able to buy them a present. I have reached out to a couple resources in my area Calhoun, GA and no luck finding a program. So I'm trying to find help with presents or finding something free fun and exciting for them. I am able to get them a cake and their favorite food, just because I do receive food stamps for them. I have tried to find someone's house to clean for some money, but no luck. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

You could try asking local businesses or neighbors for yard work, baby sitting, assisting the elderly! They are turning 3, they will not be upset if you put off there birthday longer. Things will get better and you can make up for that when you are able. They will not hold it against you they are "3" !

Do you have any thrift stores nearby? They might have some inexpensive toys. I know Saturday is approaching, but perhaps you could hit a garage sale on Friday and find something.

I know how frustrating it is when you can't buy for the people you love, and this may sound crazy, but when my son was little, his favorite toys were cardboard boxes. Kids love playing with boxes.

Sending you good thoughts for a happy day.

I am sad for you if none of the resources suggested in your other posts are offering any solutions for you. Very disappointing.

Can you ask family or friends if they have any gently loved toys and clothing their kiddos have outgrown and that they can give you? Sometimes you just have to ask and people will pitch in to help!

Prayers for solutions!

I do believe you posted another question here asking how to find a job to earn some money to buy a present for the twins. I hope this works out for you. You can try a few charity groups in your area or even a local church. I know on FB a lot of people who have problems start a Go-Fund-Me Page. You might want to consider this. I hope that a local church or organization in your area will be kind enough to donate a few toys for the girls.
