My cat has started peeing in corners of my house. We have placed litter boxes in the vicinity, but want to make sure that we have cleaned up all of the pee. I was wondering if I could use my iPhone as a UV blacklight to check for any spots we might have missed.

You need a UV light. The flashlight on the iPhone isn't UV.

You will have to use a UV light for this task.
- Finding the cat urine is only the tip of the iceberg as the job of removing it (so your cat cannot detect it) is a lot bigger job.
- Here is what one site stated about UV lights:
- You are most likely to see LED lamps with 400 nm, 385 nm, or 365 nm in general stores. DO NOT buy lamps with a wavelength of 395 or 400 nm. They are almost useless in finding cat urine because they are too close to being visible light. For best results, we recommend going with 365 or 385 nm.
- Here one typical UV light:

- Here is a link to a site that has information about how to find the cat urine as well as methods to eliminate it.

No, and don't be tricked into thinking you can "paint" your phone light either. You'd need to get an actual uv light.
