Finding Donated Yarn For Charity Events?

I am currently sponsoring a charity event for making knitted or crocheted items for babies, women, men, and families who are need of warm outer wear this winter. It gets extremely cold here in Michigan. Most times it is below zero and the gas bills get outrageous for many elderly persons.

There are two other ladies and myself that will be volunteering our time to make items such as blankets, gloves, hats, earmuffs, scarfs, leg warmers, lap blankets, shawls, ponchos, etc., anything else that would keep them warm and comfortable. I am looking for any companies or persons who would be willing to donate any yarn for our mission. Any consideration will be greatly appreciated.
