I need help finding free furniture. I need everything. I am a single mom with a teenage son. We have nothing. I also need help finding low income homes in a decent neighborhood.

Free furniture can be found through Freecycle, Craigslist, the curb, or through word of mouth. The Department of Social Services can help with housing.
go to Craigslist.org and it should pull up your neighborhood version. If not you can choose from the main menu. Go to "free stuff" and you will find loads of free furniture. For housing, go to this government link:
go to one or all of your local food pantries. even in the middle of nowhere churches will have one or two. they may also have social workers with lists of housing agencies in your area. you should also call your local elected officials for help in finding resources (it helps if you're a voter).
check HUD
There are state organizations that you can ask for support. You will have to call your state and see which organizations you can qualify for especially if you have a child under 18 - they will help you.
On Craigslist if you look under for Sale > Free , you will find a lot of hopefully useful furniture for you and your son.
Definitely check all of the above. You might also consider approaching a church or other civic organization
in general the biggest tragedy of people today is how fragmented and absent the social fabric is. The only real difference between homeless folks and everyone else is that the homeless or otherwise poor people lack a support network.
Thus finding a larger group to belong to can help a lot with fulfilling both practical and social needs and maybe help y'all get back on your feet
