Free furniture is very difficult to find and most furniture that is donated to thrift stores and charities is given to indigent individuals and families. However, you can try Craig's List, The Freecycle Network (site address below), local charities, etc., for free furniture.

I suggest using Free Cycle's web site. People post many things they don't need for free. Also, go to a Salvation Army store near you they have cheap sofas you could buy.
