Free tires are hard to find in my area.
You can put a wanted in NextDoor or on Facebook market place or in your Pennysaver or newspaper classified. Ask all your friends and family if they have any hanging around their garage or car trunk.
If you are looking for a tire to use on your car. Best to get something from a reputable dealer as free ones can be very dangerous (bald tires can be very hazardous).
If it is a matter of affording one, set yourself up a Go Fund Me and ask for help!!
People are very generous and if you have a network of friends and family on Facebook or other social marketing, they are even more generous. People want to help but if they don't know you need help, they don't offer. When they know help is needed, they usually are wonderful about it. It's easy to set up. Here is the link.
Go to auto body shops. Sometimes when cars are totaled they will sell you the tires.
It will be hard to find completely free or next to free tires. Especially if the tires have been off the vehicle for awhile, it can be risk to driving (as the tires could be cracked, out of air, etc).
Plus, it will cause money to mount the free tires onto your wheels, so it may not be worth it.
There are some tire shops that sell used tires and the mounting fees is a little less.
