Go to the office for your local Salvation Army and tell them what you need and they will give you a voucher to take to their thrift store, to get what you need free, providing they have the items. However, a lot of times when you get free stuff you have to be able to transport it.
I would call or write letters to local churches explaining that you were homeless but worked hard and got back in a place, they may help, or know of somewhere that might. Why didn't the landlord furnish them? Isn't it required by law?
Go to your social services agency. They have lists and contact people who can help immediately.
