My home burned down 4 weeks ago due to faulty wiring. I had no renter's insurance. I have exhausted my savings on hotels. I can't get Red Cross to return my calls any more and I'm living out of my car. I am still looking for my beloved Roxie, my dog that escaped. I've called all the local charities and I'm on waiting lists. Who do I turn to? I live in Huffman, TX close to Houston.

I would sstart off by going to the US Gov website and applying for assistance. I would also contact the local newspapers and even the TV station about your issue and even your dog. I would try and see if anyone will listen to your story and do a news story about what happened. It is a shame you are living out of your car now and it is even worse that you can't find your dog. www.usa.gov/
