My name is Amber I have a six-year-old daughter in first grade and an 11 year old son in 6th grade. I am trying to get help with getting both of them new school clothes. My daughter has to wear collared shirts, but any kind of pants. My son can wear any kind of shirt with any kind of pants. My son wears a size extra large in boys shirts and a medium in men's shirts. He wears a size 18 husky in boys pants maybe or 20 in boy pants. In men's he wears 22-24 size pants. My daughter wears a size 8 in school collared shirts and she's in an 8 through 10 in pants.

You can put requests in places like Freecycle or OfferUp.
If you have a school social worker, he or she could help. Very often schools have funds for clothing and school supplies. They may also have ised ones.
Sending up prayers that you find what you need at a price you can afford or for free.
Do you have a free store in your town? We have one of the first in the country in our city and I understand they are popping up all over the US.
These are stores where people donate items--especially things like school clothes and supplies and you can shop there for free. It is set up like a mini big box store with shelves and racks to shop for what you need.
Some ask that you bring something to trade--so say you have a box of mugs, you can trade the box of mugs for X number of pieces of clothing or Y number of notebooks and pencils.
Most are without any obligation, but it is important to know the rules of each store.
Also many churches, mosques, and synagogues have "stores: or annual tag/rummage sales where you can shop (very low cost or free). They often have them right before school starts and most have a section of school uniforms.
I suggest calling around to the largest religious organizations in your town and asking if they can point you in the right direction for one of these sales/stores.
I also just learned from the Next Door website for my town, that some school districts, including the district I live in, the guidance counselors have worked with parents at each school in the district to set up little stores where parents can shop for free to get all kinds of items from clothing to tooth brushes.
Your school's website may have info on if you have that available to you or call the administrative offices and ask.
Often just by asking at the school, they can facilitate donations from other parents of items (totally anonymous) to help give kids a good start for the school year!
Post back with an update! Hope you find everything you need!
