I have 3 Giuseppe Armani figurines. They all have characters like the one in the photo, older men. This one with the cello, one standing with an accordion, and one of a drunk older man slumped on a table. I found the name for the last one, it is "One too many". I would like to know how to find the names for the other two and what series this belongs to. Are there any collectors groups for this series? I know there are groups for G. Armani, but I want to know if there is anything specific for this series. What "finish" is this? Any information would be helpful. I would also like to find out how much they are worth.
Thank you!

Can you please post photos of the others?
I thought the one with the drunk man is called Night's End, so I am curious to see if you have one different than the one I know.
These are not, that I remember, and I sold lots of them when I worked at Hallmark, a series per se. There are numerous figures with the "old man" theme...like Nights End, there is an old man on a bench, an old man giving a boy a haircut, an old man darning socks, and so many more.
As for official names, unless there is a box or someone remembers the name (for some reason, I remember Night's End, but can't remember too many of the other names). When I research, I end up finding them by their topic (see above). When we sold them, we told people to keep the boxes, which clearly few people did. With the box they are worth slightly more because you can get the official name and year.
They sell (or don't sell) at a huge variety of prices. The cello figurine is on eBay now with an asking price of $29.39 so if he sells that will be the current market value.

The accordian figure is up right now It is asking 54 with a buy it now of 90. That will be the value if it sells.

I look forward to seeing more pix and perhaps I can help more!
PS, only a SOLD price gives you today's actual market value. Asking prices are only what the SELLER WANTS to get...sold tells you what someone is WILLING TO PAY! Huge difference in most cases!!
Thanks for asking.
All great information, thank you! I have been having trouble finding sold prices, do you have any thoughts on that?
I purchased them from a neighbor back in 1992 without a box so I don't have that resource, unfortunately.
Also, how do I add a photo? I can't seem to figure it out. Thank you.
There used to be an add photo button on the post.
As for sold prices, there have not been any sold in ages. The market is very soft for figurines. If you watch the active auctions, and they sell, that will be today's value.
If you want to sell yours, start high and jump on the best offer.
I can offer selling tips if you need them for eBay. Thanks!!
There is a little photo icon right below the text box you type in any feedback. It says "Upload an Image". You may have to be signed in for it to show up.
If you are still having problems, you can email them to us at images@thriftyfun.com and we can get it posted for you.
Thank you for the great advice. I didn't see the photo icon the last time, maybe I just wasn't paying good enough attention. Thanks!
I have never sold on e-bay so any tips would be greatly appreciated.
So eBay selling can be a lot of fun. I have been selling there for over 20 years.
There are tons of good videos on YouTube for setting up an eBay seller account and linking a paypal. That is step one on the get started process.
Once your account is up, then study eBay to look at the comparable figurines--both active and sold.
This will give you an idea of how people stage the pieces and how they price them. I go ONLY by sold prices when I price my item or if not sold, I make mine lower than the last completed UNSOLD auction.
For pieces like this and that you are a new seller, run 7 day auctions (that is an option in the ADVANCED seller tool...don't let the tool name scare you, it is for NEW and old sellers....it is just more detailed than the quick list, which I find useless and very confusing if you are a new seller.
Run your auctions Sunday to Sunday, and start the item at the lowest price you want to get...so say you see a piece is SELLING consistently at $100, you can start it there and hope it will sell, or if you only care about getting $80 and $100 would be great, start it at 80. You never know, it could go to 100 or higher...that is the beauty of the auction set up.
Don't be discouraged if it doesn't sell first time. As a new seller you get 10 free auctions a month. This will get raised to 50 free when you get some sales under your belt.
You pay fees AFTER the item has sold.
DON'T let eBay try to upsell you to promoting listings or any extra jazz. Just do a basic listing.
Be sure your photos are clear and bright. Use all 12 photos and take photos of the pieces from every side, back, front, sides, bottom, looking down, etc.
If there are any flaws, take detailed photos of those and put it in the description at least 3 times.
Do NOT have anything else in the photo other than what you are selling, no background stuff.
Before you complete the listing, be sure to box the item and weigh it. Measure the box and put the measurements and the weight in the place in the tool for shipping. Pick the best shipping method for your country--I am in the US and typically if it is over 13 ounces, I pick priority mail.
Since you are just starting out, ship only to your country. I say that because I am in the US and shipping to other countries, even Canada is a nightmare and involves customs and I am not getting into that challenge. It is a nightmare so I do US shipping only. I am now just a hobby seller, but even when this was my business, I rarely if ever shipped outside the US.
Avoid fraud by NEVER communicating with anyone other than in the eBay messaging system. There are frauds going around where people say they want you to text them. NEVER do this.
Never take anything but Paypal for payment (that is until eBay mandates the new payment system...in which case, you can use it or Paypal, but from my understanding the new option isn't live yet. People will ask if they can send you a check, and they will send you extra for your trouble....NO, it is a scam.
If you ever get any weird things, call eBay and ask for help. They are fairly responsive.
There are also back end frauds where a buyer says the item was damaged and they want a full refund and they threaten you with negative feedback. A real buyer typically doesn't do that...threaten, they are usually heartbroken if the item is broken and just ask you to make it right.
There are also frauds where they tell you you sent the wrong thing and want to send it back for a refund. Then they send you some junk and keep the real thing.
I am not telling you all of this to be discouraging. I am telling you to empower you to do eBay right knowing that there are bad people out there so you can avoid it.
eBay selling can be lucrative and fun.
Do remember that you are dealing with very fragile piece with these figurines an they need to be packaged in two boxes--first wrap in white tissue paper, then bubble wrap, then in a study box that fits it snugly...use packing peanuts in open spaces. Then put THAT box into a bigger box and stuff it (2 inches all around) with packing peanuts. This way you have the best chance of it arriving in one piece.
If you have other questions, feel free to ask!! Happy selling!
P.S. I think your figurine of the drunk man is Night's End. I have also seen it refereed to as ARMANI STATUE DRUNK OLD MAN DRINKING BEER.
With these, when you sell, since so people are sure of the "real name" it is best just to describe the scene. Like old man playing a cello etc.
Thank you so much for all your wonderful tips! I appreciate all the time it took you to put that together for me.
I'm not sure but I believe the 2 musicians will generally be found under Capodimonte and not Armani (but many sellers will have both names).

You might want to place a watch on these to see if they sell so you will have a current value to go with your pieces.
The "drunk" figurine is named "Night's End" and can be found in many places for sale but I did not see a sold listing for any of these so no way to presently place current value. He seems to be listed under both names.
You might want to check with Reproductions to see if they are interested in buying - if they are; they will give you a low figure but can also supply information about each figurine.

Pghgirl has given great eBay selling information but if you want links to the actual eBay sites they have some very good selling help articles.

Here is a auction site that you can keep an eye on to find out how much they are selling the different figurines at. I did find a site that had a database for all the figurines but it appears to be closed right now. You can also try this site to find out more prices. www.arcadja.com/
Maybe you can find your pieces on this site. thetaylorgallery.com/
