If any personal items are lost in a department store, check the lost and found then check the appropriate department for your item. I recently found my lost prescription sunglasses "for sale" in the sunglasses display at the department store where I lost them two weeks priviously.
Also ask at each register at any department you visited the day of the loss. Sometimes lost items don't make it to customer service, they just stay under the counter in that department.

Yes, you are right. My friend lost her prescription sunglasses at Kohls and found them on the rack for sale with no price on them weeks later. It pays to keep checking since these were expensive glasses. Kohls carried the same brand of sunglasses that she lost.
Thumbs up. Also, leave your name and article information with the department so that the next shift will see it, too! Ask them to return it to the lost and found and let customer service contact you, the appropriate channel to protect yourself.
I left my nice leather jacket in a dressing room at Kohls never to be found. Very disappointed.
