I am looking for patterns for infant boy clothes. I am going to be a grandmother in the near future and want to help my son and his wife have new clothes that were made by grandma. If you have any suggestions on where I can get patterns, your help will be greatly appreciated. I am looking for web links also.
You could google the following:
@ Free sewing patterns baby
@ Free knitting patterns baby
@ Free crochet patterns baby
Lionbrand.com is an excellent website for knitting and crochet patterns.
check out thrift stores or second hand stores for patterns too.
I'm sure you are going to garage sales-- don't forget church rummage sales-- Patterns are so darned expensive these days-- but my suggestion is this-- watch out for large size doll clothes patterns-- some will be just right for a newborn-- then get with your sewing friends and figure out how to make the patterns larger for future growth.
There is a very good website:" Free Patterns.com"
It`s free to become a member. It posts sewing, knitting, crochet etc. Check it out.
I don't want to downplay your enthusiasm on sewing for an infant grandson-but are you sure the daughter-in-law wants home made infant clothes. The soft knits and terry cloth that baby clothes are made out of are not so easy to come buy at a reasonable cost.
Babies-Blog.com has a FANTASTIC article on free sewing patterns for baby and where to find them, have a look here -
