Finding a Lost Relative?

I am Jocelyne. Sometime ago I had found my brother, but now I am trying to locate my other sisters that I had found out about. Growing up my dad never told me about my siblings until he got sick and then I tried to see if I can find them. Please help me find my sisters.

Go to familytree.com. Provided they have not opted out, you can find their address, phone number and other relatives.

Facebook has always been an excellent resource for finding a lot relative. If you don't have much luck on Facebook you can always join a family tree site to search there.

You could check social media like Facebook, Instagram, or even LinkedIn.

Good luck!

If you know their name and state you can try to search on Google. Sometimes will give you address and phone number also.

Have you done a 23 me DNA test? There are a lot of people who find birth family through this venue. It is not cheap, but I have heard it works.

What you will need for your search if you want to do it on your own is their first, middle, last names, the city where they were born, potential cities where they may live, and their ages, their mother's full name, your father's full name, any of their siblings names (either those related to your or not), a spouse name if you know it.

Write it all down and then start searching Google. Keep good records of what you find so you rule out people.

If there were local newspapers in your town, see if you can find them online and look for things there--like when I was young, it was often published if we won a school award or did something nice with Girl Scouts. These are really helpful to narrow down where a person was when and find them.

It is a little harder to find women than men usually, if they are of an age to be married and change their last name it becomes challenging.

Best wishes in your search! I hope they are open to meeting you! Please be prepared for either situation as both will be very emotional and can be stressful. Prayers for you and your family!
