Facebook- sooner or later between family and friends, someone out there will know where or he may even contact on his own.
Unless he has opted out, you can find him on www.familytreenow.com.
Social media - Facebook, Instagram. Also try LinkedIn.
Try ZABA Search. It's free, and you put in the name you're looking for. If it's a common name, it may not be very useful, especially if you don't know what state they are in.
Other posters have given you sites to search.
I don't know your age or your current situation, but I sense a whole lot of frustration and even some anger in your question.
Before you go down the rabbit hole to find your dad, please be sure you have a support system in place that can help YOU if you do or do not find him and if he is or is not welcoming.
Yes, either way finding your dad may cause stress and it is critical for you to take care of you and have a support system in place to deal with what you are going to go through.
Many years ago a friend of mine desperately wanted to find their birth parents. So much so that their spouse spent thousands of dollars on private investigators and hours of time (this was long before Facebook and many internet sites that are available now) and found them.
The mother was welcoming, the father was not. There were a number of half siblings found also.
The emotions from the find was the cause of this person's (the one who wanted to find their birth parents) their marriage failed because they went on such an emotional roller coaster when this was all happening that they disengaged from their spouse and the spouse left. It was awful.
The whole situation was sad and made me very cautious when I hear people that are seeking out long lost relationships, especially parents.
Just put your own oxygen mask on first, get yourself a good support system to help you get through whatever you find, and prayers it all works out for you!!

There are a lot of sites that people have told you about that are excellent ways to start off. My daughter's father took off when she was only 13 months old and never wanted to be found again. He got married again and had 2 more children. It was years that he was gone. My daughter wanted to find him but gave up and lost interest in all of this. One day he showed up it was 38 years too late. My daughter worked it all out and now has contact with her dad. it is hard to lose a parent and want to know where they are. Just go slowly and start the search with his side of the family. Talk with them and find out if they know where he is. Maybe they can give you some insight as to where he is and what he is doing. They might even be able to help you get in touch with him again. Good luck and I hope you can find him.
