Finding a Vintage Stuffed Lion?

Finding a Vintage Stuffed Lion?I wasn't sure where to ask for help regarding a stuffed lion I had when I was little. I've tried googling to identify the make of the stuffed lion but nothing so far. I have included the only pictures I have of it. I know the pictures are not good but they are the only ones I have left of him.

I can tell you that the picture is from February 1964, and I am not sure if the stuffed lion was a present when I was born or if it could be older. I remember the back of his mane had a soft satiny material. I hope that you will be able to help me identify what brand of stuffed animal he is.

I am not looking for a value, as strange as it sounds I am looking for some closure from a sad experience. The stuffed lion was very special to me growing up. It was a lovey to me. When I was about 9 years old it was thrown away and as crazy as it sounds, I was heart broken and have thought about that stuffed lion for the last 58 yrs. If I can find out what make the lion is, I am going to try and find one to buy and replace him. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you so much.

You could write to the Gund company and send them a picture. Perhaps they could help you.

You could show your plushy to social media outlets, there are thousands will see and maybe have the same or the answer of this over 50 year old item, or try - shop.thetoyfactory.biz/.../value-plush.html

Lovely pictures.
I wish there were better pictures of the lion but I do not believe your pictures are 'visible' enough to make an ID.
Maybe other members can find a way but perhaps you can describe him a little more?

Any ideas on size/measurements?
Did he just lay down on his belly?
Plush all over with no jointed arms/legs?
Brown with a darker mane?
Perhaps if you could find a lion online that even resembles your lion this might provide something to build on.

Good luck in your quest and please keep us updated with any information you receive.
