If you are looking for a good appraiser in your area it is recommended that you start off checking the dealers around you. Look at their websites, check the reviews, if you know anyone who has used them talk with them to see what they have to say. I would try and contact at least 3 in your area and set up an appointment with them. You can see what each one says and goes from there. Once you find one you like do some research online about this person and see what people have said about them.
Take pictures of every angle, adding any info or markings about the piece. Take to a professional dealer or send pictures, who has good reviews and great standing in your area!
