Easy and delicious fried fish cakes.
Total Time: 20 Minutes
Yield: 6 fish cakes
Ingredients:
- 2 5 oz. cans chunk light tuna in water
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- Coating
- 1/2 Italian bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Steps:
- Add tuna, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, and egg into a large bowl.
- Mix the ingredients with a fork.
- Scoop a generous amount of the mixture into your clean hands. Shape it into a patty.
- Roll the patty into a bowl with the coating mixture of bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Heat a large skillet with about six tablespoons of canola oil.
- Place coated patties into the skillet and cook over medium to high heat for twelve minutes. Flip patties a few times, every three or four minutes, until both sides are golden brown.
