Fixing Leaky Faucets

If you have a leaky faucet, you need to fix it right away. Just a little drip can cost a lot on your water bill each month!

Also your electric or gas bill depending on the type of water heater you own. (If it is a hot water drip.)

Go to a home repair store and buy plumber's tape. It's a very thin type of white tape. unscrew the hand held shower head and wrap the plumber's tape around the threads of the wall fixture (where the shower head screws on).

Be sure to wrap in in the same direction you will be tightening (the direction the threads go). Only wrap it about 2 or three times all the way around and be careful to do a perfect job. Keep the tape on the threads. Now screw your shower head back on. You're in business! (01/14/2006)
