This would be a healthier alternative to chocolate cake because there is no flour. Very easy and simple to make and tastes just as great, sort of like a giant brownie too. Pairs great with fresh berries and drizzled with melted chocolate.
Prep Time: 15-20 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 40-45 minutes + cooling time
Yield: 1 cake
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- olive oil

Steps:
- Melt chocolate and butter over double boiler on stove.

- Once chocolate and butter is well incorporated and smooth, remove from heat. Transfer chocolate into a larger bowl and stir sugar in.

- Whisk cocoa powder and eggs until chocolate batter consistency.
- Coat your choice of pan (used a pie pan) with a little bit of olive oil and cocoa powder, so it will be less sticky for easy removal of cake. Pour batter in and bake at 375° F for about 25 minutes, or until ready. Allow to cool before serving.
