Flower Bracelet from Plastic Cosmetic Containers

Supplies:

• 3 empty plastic cosmetic containers in different colors - yellow, orange and white
• 40 in braided fishing line, 0.55 mm thickness
• 28 white pearlescent beads with a diameter of 5 mm
• cardboard
• pencil
• knife
• scissors
• awl
• mat or several sheets of paper

Steps:

1. Remove labels. If the text is written directly on the plastic of the bottle, then you will solve this problem later. Unscrew the caps. Rinse the bottles well.

 
2. Cut off the bottom and top of the bottles. Then cut the plastic at the sides so that you end up with flat pieces of plastic.

 

 
3. Make three types of flower templates out of cardboard.

4. Place the template on a piece of plastic, trace with a pencil and cut out. Make 28 plastic flowers in different colors and types. For flowers with an inscription on the plastic, scrub the letters with a scissor blade.

 

 

 

 
5. Make holes in the center of the plastic flowers with an awl.

 
6. Bend the petals of the plastic flowers a little.

 
7. String the first plastic flower and one bead onto the fishing line. Move them almost to the end of the fishing line. Then thread the fishing line back through the hole in the plastic flower and pull it so that the bead is in the center of the flower and the holes in the bead are on the sides. Tie a knot of fishing line under the flower.

8. Continue to fasten the plastic flowers at a small distance from each other, alternating colors and types of flowers.

 

 
9. This bracelet is stretchable thanks to the fishing line chosen and the connection I came up with. This why you don't need a bracelet clasp. Stretch the bracelet and check if you have enough length. Connect the ends of the fishing line by tying them in two knots (tighten the knots very tight). Cut off excess fishing line. Your bracelet is ready.
