I live in the state of Massachusetts. I am a Senior Citizen and am 65 years old. Yesterday, I got a call from the Senior Center in the town I live in. They confirmed who they were talking to with asking me my address, phone #and age. They then said to me that because I am a Senior, I qualify for a shopper to do my food shopping and I will automatically get a $100.00 food voucher.
I was shocked in disbelief. I already have a helper who does my shopping and picks up my prescriptions 2 days a week. They said just have her come to the Senior Center and pick up the food voucher and then do my food shopping! I asked if this was just our town? She said it was Nationwide!
So, please if you are a Senior, call your town's Senior Center, and ask about this $100 dollar food voucher? It was a wonderful help for me! Then today, my doorbell rang, it was the Salvation Army with 2 bags of dry groceries. He said he was delivering to all Seniors!
I was really surprised and taken by all this goodness! I am, in turn, cooking and have been for weeks now for 4 families in my neighborhood who have lost their jobs and have children! God is good! I just felt this news should be shared!
