Food Packaging as Drawer Organizers

Bronze Feedback Medal for All Time! 196 Feedbacks

A blue packaging container for mushrooms, used to organize a drawer.Drawer organizers are just a mushroom pizza away

We had homemade pizza with mushrooms recently and the package inspired the perfect way to organize our kitchen junk drawer. These cute little blue containers are perfect for corralling all those small necessities that, left loose, junk up the junk drawer. We can fit 4 in the back of the drawer. No more getting stabbed by the meat thermometer and no more sting from pricy store bought containers!

Pghgirl40, hehehehe I chuckled when I read your post, how cute and funny you are! :)

And you're right, those would work great for that!

Thank you for the great "junk drawer tip" as we all have one of those for sure! :)

Thanks Suz!! I was so surprised to see one of my first posts come back up!! I just replaced my containers a few weeks ago and thought maybe my computer saw me do that and thought it would be a good idea to repost. I think the internet sees everything! Even more ironic is hubby texted me BEFORE I saw this saying we are having mushroom pizza for dinner tonight with fresh dough of course!! Maybe Google reads minds too :)

Thanks for your lovely message!

Great idea.
I just saved 2 of these this week thinking they would make great organizers for rubber bands and paper clips.

Thanks! I use them for lots of things to keep them in order. The blue ones are my favorite (I love all things blue), but the black ones are usually sturdier!!

These mushroom containers also work great for starting seeds in soil, then transplant to bigger pots or outside in the garden. You can use an awl to poke small drainage holes in the bottom, then place several in a waterproof tray.

OR, don't poke holes and use as is, but be careful not to overwater your seedlings. The containers can be used for several years until they get cracked or brittle.

You are most generous. Sadly I have sold off almost all of my HL pieces so I am not in the market for more--I am in the downsizing phase of life! If you are giving them away, perhaps a women's shelter or a Free Store would love them. Blessing to your kind heart!
