To dispose of grease, I freeze it. First, I let it cool slightly and then pour it into a small plastic container to freeze. When frozen, I give the container a twist and it pops out like an ice cube. I drop it into the bag of frozen food waste that I keep in the freezer until garbage collection day. The Land O Lakes Butter Spread container works great for this. It is soft and flexible. I keep the container in the freezer beside the bag of food waste and use it over and over.

I re-use my grease. I pour it into a metal can with a strainer to remove particles and keep it in my fridge until I need it.
I love bacon grease for seasoning. When family comes home, I cook a big skillet of bacon and save the grease. I also save chicken broth and beef broth for soup.
This is a chuck of frozen portions of grease. I popped it out of the container today and put it in the trash to go to the dump.
There is a program for recycling cooking oil.

Any used cooking oil or grease can be used in making biofuels to produce biodiesal. This includes vegetable oil, fish oil, bacon grease, chicken fat and pork fat. The recycling plant can handle any type of natural cooking oil or grease.
Most restaurants recycle their cooking oil. It is placed in a drum that is picked up and taken to a recycling plant.
Some counties have a program for recycling cooking oil. Check with your County Solid Waste Department and see if you can start recycling your cooking oil. I did and yes, I can.
