If you make gatorade pops for the summer and spring, it will be really good for when the kids come in from a day of activity. Ice cubes are nice too for cups of gatorade so that it won't be diluted down.

A great suggestion! Often adults can forget how thirsty children can get just from playing outdoors. I sometimes make a large thermos of Gatorade (in a gallon size insulated drink container) for trips that involve hiking and birding. We keep this in the car to thoroughly rehydrate after being out for a while. The night before, I make the Gatorade from powdered mix and freeze about half of it in sandwich size zipper bags. The next morning, just before leaving on the trip, I open the bags and drop the large hunks of frozen Gatorade into the thermos, which has also been chilling overnight in the fridge. The big pieces of Gatorade ice last a long time!
