It is a balmy 111 degrees in Los Angeles today and I've found my best ally is my hot water bottle. Before popping it in the freezer, I fill it up with water only halfway, because water expands as it freezes. In a couple hours, I have a large, soft, super cold pack to hold up against my body to cool down. I use one for a couple hours while another one sets up in the freezer. Pure bliss!

Wow! I thought it was hot here. The water bottle sounds like a good idea.
Where are you? We are melting! Loving this solution :)
North Carolina. Our temperature has been in the 90's for the past 3 weeks until a couple of days ago it dropped down in the 80's, such a relief but it's back in the 90's again now.
I'd give anything for your weather! Didn't think you'd hear that, huh? ;) I was in Las Vegas last week and it was 113+. I was losing my mind.
Attosa that's a great way to go with the water bottle, freezing it or putting ice cubes in it. Isn't is just awful the temps here in Vegas.
Maybe next time you're in Vegas, we could say Hi in person. :)
I'd love to! I was going to run the Rock 'n Roll Marathon on the strip this year but swapped it out for another location. I'll probably be back soon. Show me your hummingbird friends! :)
I suggest cleaning the hummingbird feeder out with soapy water and a scrub brush. The scum stays on the inside of the glass and affects the sugar water.
I'll be sure to pass this along to those of my friends enduring hot flashes. Rice or wheat bags put in the freeze for a while work pretty good, too.
