Freezing leftover restaurant queso blanco may be successful if handled properly from the time it was made until placed in freezer and gently thawed before serving..
- The first question should be - was the queso blanco handled properly at the party and not left out for a long time before placing in refrigerator?
- It is not recommended to leave Queso blanco in refrigerator for more than 3-4 days so be sure your sauce/dip is still safe to eat before freezing.
- Freeze in covered airtight containers or heavy-duty freezer bags.
- Safety and use recommendations for freezing:
- In general, any cheese can be frozen. Of course, you want to thaw them gently in the refrigerator for a day or two before eating or cooking with them.
- After thawing/heating, be sure the texture has not changed as this could indicate it is not safe to use.

Was the cheese all poured out for the party? Or, it's leftover, set aside and not contaminated.
