Cream butter and brown sugar. Add egg. Sift together flour, soda, and salt; add alternately with buttermilk. Beat until smooth. Gently blend in peaches. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over top. Bake at 350 degrees F. Serve with whipped cream.

Anything with fresh peaches will get my attention every time. As much as I like our Florida Citrus, I think there's nothing like a fresh GA peach.
This recipe sounds wonderful Vi, and I'm seeing a lot of peaches from somewhere in the local markets now. I don't think they are from GA, but I'll get some anyway just to have this cake which was published the year I was born. 1935. :-)
Thank you for sharing,
Pookarina
How long do we bake this cake? You listed the temperature, but not the time. This sounds wonderful! I can't wait to try it!
Bake at 350º for 30 - 35 minutes. Sorry I forgot to include the baking time.
Hi Pookarina, DH was born in 1934 . I arrived a couple of years later. LOL
