Fall will soon be here and so will the fall apples. There are so many ways to prepare them but one of my favorites is fried apples. I never was good at frying them until I ran across this recipe on the internet. I made a few changes and just want to share the recipe.
Total Time: approximately 30 minutes
Yield: 3-4 depending on how much willpower you have.
Source: I found the recipe on the internet.
Ingredients:
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 3 medium to large apples, unpeeled, cored, quartered and sliced
- 1/3 cup sugar (add more if desired)
Steps:
- Melt butter in medium heavy skillet over medium heat.
- Add apples; cover and cook for 6-10 minutes, or until apples are juicy.
- Turn and sprinkle with 1/3 cup sugar. Reduce heat to low.
- Cover and cook 6 more minutes.
- Uncover and cook 2-3 minutes longer or until sugar is absorbed and apples are lightly browned on bottom.

For a little more flavor use brown sugar and a dash of salt.
