Dissolve cornmeal, flour, and salt in cold water. Stir into boiling water, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Cook 20-30 minutes, covered, on very low heat. Pour into loaf pan. When cool, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate to set. Slice and deep fat fry or dust with flour and fry in skillet with oil until golden brown. Serve with sorghum, honey, or maple syrup.
