I love making trifles for any occasions. You can make them anyway you really want to. This one I made is all fruit and cream and vanilla wafers. It is delightful for the summertime!
Prep Time: 1 hour
Yield: many, depending the size of serving
Ingredients:
- Trifle bowl or a large wide and deep clear bowl.
- 1 large box vanilla wafers
- 5 8 oz. containers Cool Whip
- 2 jello brand instant vanilla pudding
- 2 15 oz. cans sliced peaches, drained and patted dry on paper towels
- 2 qt large ripe strawberries, save 6 whole ones for the top, thin slice the rest
- 2 large bananas sliced thin
- 1 pt blueberries
Steps:
- Prep all your fruit, slice everything and put in small bowls.
- Make sure the Cool Whip is not frozen and ready to use. Make the pudding in two separate bowls. Refrigerate until you need it.
- Fill a bowl with the vanilla wafers
- Start by lining the bottom of the bowl with wafers. Then go around the sides carefully with another layer of wafers with the round side showing out. Stop there!
- Now use one bowl of pudding, the entire bowl, spread evenly over wafers using a spatula.
- Use one Cool Whip, spread evenly over the pudding. Add a circle of wafers around the side facing out.
- Now, layer all the sliced bananas. And then add another container of Cool Whip.
- Now, layer all the peaches. Then a layer of Cool Whip. Add another circle of wafers around the side facing out.
- 9. Add a layer of thin sliced strawberries and add the blueberries. Then a layer of cool whip. Add another circle of wafers around the side facing out.
- 10. Top off with more cool whip! Peak it with the back of a spoon. Big peaks! Core out the 6 strawberries and stand them upside down. Then use a few wafers standing on there side!
I can post many versions of trifles! If that would be helpful! Most are made with cubes of cake. This one I like light and fruity!
