I have colored my bedroom pista green to get a pastel feel. What type furniture will go with this color. Please help.
For this color walls, natural tones is the best. I would keep them on the lighter side. I saw some new-look interior design photos using this color for the walls and the ones I did see all choose a natural tone accessories for their home. I saw an eggshell color for the dresser and bed in one photo and this looked great.
You could do light colored woods, white , or even black furniture!
Personally I would stick with the nature colors and go with another color of green or a tan any light colored natural like outdoorsy color or if your into a peice that pops go with a bright kinda opposite but I'm not sure what the rest of the furniture looks like and I would assume you would take it into consideration as well.
We have used pastel greens for wall color in the past and it depends on the vibe you are trying to get from the room the color for the furniture and accessories.
I wanted a warm feel, so I used dark woods--cherry/mahogany and added pops of a deep cobalt blue and white.
If you want a cool feel, lighter woods like pine or a white wash may meet your need. You could then use pops of a pale yellow or brown or dark green to get an earthy feel.
If you want an art deco feel, you can use black lacquer furniture and pops of white to create that classic deco look.
There are a lot of options! You just need to figure out the feel for the room first and go from there!
Post back with what you decide! Thanks for asking!
Cremes and golds if you're trying to stay subtle, but burgundies if you're daring to be out there!!! :)
